Omima Mohamed Ahmed Al-Sadiq – 38 years old – Esna Center, Asfon Village
Omima is a young, unmarried woman working in sewing. She has always had the talent and skill in design and tailoring, but she faced difficulty in starting her own project due to her inability to purchase the basic materials needed for her work.
Omima participated in small business management training and the ‘Craftsman’ training within the activities of the Luxor Youth Empowerment Project, funded by the Sawiris Foundation, and received technical and knowledge support that enabled her to develop her ideas and transform them into a tangible project.
After receiving a small loan from the association, she was able to purchase raw materials, threads, and various fabrics, and she began executing her own designs in the fields of upholstery, clothing, and curtains.
Today, Omima has become one of the most prominent designers in her area, transforming from a simple seamstress working with basic tools to a small business owner with her unique fingerprint in the world of design and tailoring.
